Tim and Eric Dixon own and run a 4th generation farm that started in 1916. They raise purebred Angus cattle but also have a cow herd, some of which are raised for the Island Certified Beef brand. To them, the benefit of joining the program is the promotion of a quality Island product.
“Providing a niche market for our product was a big thing for us.“
When asked about the future, the Dixons have high hopes.
“We’d love to see Certified Island Beef expand, and get a larger market for our product. I think the biggest challenge if things keep going forward, is going to be supply.”
